'New this year is the Wool Fair Harvest Supper, inspired by the traditional celebrations held in rural communities as the harvest is gathered into store. We will have supper, followed by a guest speaker, followed by music. There will be a hot and cold turkey buffet, with a vegetarian alternative. We will have a bar serving beer, wine, cider and soft drinks.
Our speaker is author Bob Kennard, who also works with The National Sheep Association managing their mutton project. Bob will give a presentation based on his well researched and very readable book entitled 'Much Ado About Mutton.' This will look at the history of mutton as a mainstay of the British diet. After Bob has enlightened and entertained us, Talis will sing her wonderful, original songs, about knitting, about crafts, and about life. Talis was a great favourite at The Wool Fair last year, and we are delighted to welcome her back.
Bring your current knitting, crochet or hand spinning project with you, and work as you listen to our evening entertainment. Bring your friends, family and knitting club crew too. Buy your tickets in advance only, and book soon - we anticipate plenty of interest, and spaces are limited!
Menu: Roast Turkey, Roast Potatoes, ham, cheese, salads, harvest loaves to tear and share, butter/spread for the bread.
Vegetarian option: asparagus and Gruyere crown. Must be specified on the order. There will be no ' extra' ones.
Dessert: Apple pie with custard/cream.
Food included in price. Drinks extra, including coffee.
We look forward to extending all the fun of The Wool Fair into the evening. Come to eat, drink and be merry with us.'
'Tickets are available online now at £10.00 each, to include supper. Tickets are only available in advance, not on the door. Doors open at 6.45pm, the evening  starts at 7pm and we finish at about 10.30.'
